Hoback volunteer firefighters offer drive-thru BBQ rib fundraiser Saturday
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The 2021 Hoback Volunteer Firefighters Picnic is this Saturday. The event has been modified to a drive-thru event due to rising COVID cases.
“Out of concern for our friends and neighbors, the traditional Hoback Volunteer Firefighters Picnic has been cancelled for 2021,” wrote Station 3 on its Facebook page.
The ribs, however, all 3,000 pounds of them, will be sold in a drive-by style allowing motorists to remain in their vehicles as firefighters hand off the goodies. Station 3 is just off the Hoback roundabout.
The BBQ rib fundraiser is Saturday, August 14 beginning at noon. Get there fast. Ribs are usually gone by 3pm or so. Racks will be sold for $20 each. Anyone who purchased a ticket pre-picnic can pick up a rack of ribs.
Raffle tickets for the Henry Long Range Lever-Action 308 Rifle, the 9mm Canik and a Traeger Grill will be offered during the sale of the ribs. The draw on raffle items will be held Saturday night.
A big thanks from the Nation station to Hoback Market for their unwavering and continued support.
