JHHS’ Scott Crisp named 2021-22 Principal of the Year
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. – It was a total surprise kept until April 27. Jackson Hole High School principal Dr. Scott Crisp was announced as the 2021-22 Principal of the Year by the Wyoming Association of Secondary School Principals.
Last year’s awardee and Wyoming Association of Secondary School Principals president, Jeff Makelky, from Big Piney, joined Superintendent Dr. Gillian Chapman, teachers and staff from Jackson Hole High School to honor Dr. Crisp.
“I am tremendously grateful for this honor, especially in light of the full realization of the number of outstanding educator leaders we have across the state of Wyoming. Our great school can be attributed to our outstanding staff, students, and positive community support,” Crisp said.
Superintendent Chapman added, “Dr. Crisp has earned this recognition from Wyoming colleagues for his leadership and innovation throughout his 12 years as principal at JHHS, a nationally ranked high school. Dr. Crisp works closely with staff and students to constantly challenge the status quo and creatively address challenges so students are prepared for their futures.”
Upon winning the Wyoming Principal of the Year recognition, Dr. Crisp will join each state’s Principal of the Year for National Principal of the Year which is awarded by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
