Due to the high rate of transmission of COVID-19 in our community, St. John’s Health Foundation and Skinny Skis announce the cancellation of the in-person event for the 21st Annual Run and Ride for the Cure, scheduled for September 19.
Run and Ride for the Cure is an annual day of fun duathlon racing with proceeds benefitting the St. John’s Health Foundation Cancer Patient Support Fund.
In lieu of the in-person event, St. John’s Health Foundation, Skinny Skis, and several local businesses have organized an assortment of prizes for a raffle benefitting the Cancer Patient Support Fund. The Run and Ride Raffle will take place September 11-20. There are more than 20 prizes valued at over $3,000 with something for everyone, including the grand prize stay at the Cloudveil Hotel.
Community Entry Services announced its decision to postpone the annual Art of Love auction for the second year in a row.
“During these uncertain times, we must make the health and safety of our clients, staff, and community members our primary focus,” the organization stated.
Since its inauguration, the Art of Love has provided crucial financial support to CES. Funds raised help CES to continue empowering and enriching the lives of adults with disabilities by providing vocational training, daytime programming, recreational opportunities, and 24-7-365residential support.

The Jackson Hole emergency response community will hold the annual 9/11 memorial ceremony on the town square at 8am on Saturday, September 11.
Emergency responders climbed the stairs of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, to save lives and to make sure no one was left behind. On September 11, 2021, Jackson Hole emergency responders will hike Josie’s to Snow King to remember that selfless act of courage. The climb is not timed, but a way to honor and remember those that gave their lives so that others may live.
Jackson Hole emergency responders will climb Josie’s to Snow King this year not only in memory of the lives lost on 9/11, but also to show support to our community through Old Bill’s. This climb is typically performed in larger cities as a stair climb.
Due to COVID-19, residents and visitors are encouraged to hike any time throughout the day to pay tribute to the 412 emergency workers who gave their lives on 9/11.
Fall Arts Festival is still on. The weeklong attraction includes Jackson Hole Quickdraw (Sept. 18), Western Design Conference (Sept. 9-12), Showcase of Homes (Sept. 17), Takin’ it to the Streets (Sept. 12), Western Visions (Sept. 16), and the Jackson Hole Art Auction (Sept. 17-18).
