Wyoming leads all states in resisting Covid vaccination

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — No state is more resistant to the Covid vaccine than Wyoming. A new poll shows the Cowboy State has the highest number (35%) of respondents who say they will not get jabbed.

Polling company the Morning Consult released the research Thursday, showing Wyoming at the top of the list of states who are unvaccinated and plan to stay that way. Idaho (29%), Oklahoma (29%), and Arkansas (27%) also topped that list.

States most willing to get vaccinated were Massachusetts (9% resistant), Delaware (9%), Connecticut (11%), and New Jersey (11%).

The poll found party designation played a large role in predicting who was willing to get vaccinated. Some 14% of registered Democrats continue to say they will not get vaccinated as of November 11, while 35% of Republicans and 31% of Independents are also avoiding the shot.

The leading reasons cited by those uncertain or unwilling to get vaccinated were: concerns about side effects (23%), worries vaccines moved too quickly through clinical trials (23%), and distrust of big pharma (17%).
