TETON VALLEY, Ida. — Authorities in Tetonia, Idaho are warning residents to be on alert for a large bear in the area.
Teton County (Idaho) Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of what appears to be a grizzly but could also be a cinnamon-colored back bear. It was last seen grazing open field in the area of Grouse Creek / 7000 N and 500 W in Tetonia.
“If you live in the area, please ensure there is no garbage or pet food out accessible for wildlife,” the Sheriff’s Department advised. “Keep pets inside your home when you are unable to watch them, and if you encounter the bear give them plenty of space and do not approach.”
Idaho Fish and Game has been notified.
