WYDOT looks to finish off Flat Creek bridge work at night
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Here we go again. Remember the work on Flat Creek Bridge that snarled traffic on Broadway to the point where “zipper merge” instructions and patience were preached daily?
Gird your loins as WYDOT prepares to again work on girders and other bridge stuff at Flat Creek. Crews will begin work the week of June 13. The plan is to finish bridge girder painting, groove the northbound concrete deck, and install an expansion joint—whatever that is.
Learning from the previous fiasco, work will be done at night from 10pm to 6am so as to limit the disruption to Broadway’s flow. The work is estimated to take 2-3 nights.
Traffic will be disrupted during work hours, but all traffic control devices will be removed each morning and traffic will resume normally during daytime hours.
