Hole Food Rescue ready to unveil new ‘Food for the Community’ van
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Hole Food Rescue will introduce its new Food for the Community (Comida de la Comunidad) van at the Jackson Hole Marketplace (next to The Bird) on Monday, April 18.
To celebrate the arrival of this vehicle, HFR will host a pop-up no-cost grocery program from 4:30-6:30pm, and invites everyone to stop by for free groceries and to take part in reducing food waste.
With seasonal restaurant closures and an abundance of food being rescued this is an opportune time to welcome the community to experience what the Food for the Community (FFC) program is all about.
HFR says the addition of the van will help streamline the nonprofit’s food rescue and distribution process, while also enabling them to further their reach to surrounding neighborhoods.
Hole Food Rescue would like to thank the Town of Jackson, Teton County, and The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole for supporting their efforts and helping them bring this vision to life.
Mark your calendars, spread the word, and come help HFR reduce food waste on Monday, April 18.
