JH Public Art’s WildWalls ’22 kicks off at The Virg
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — JH Public Art’s WildWalls will kick off in style this weekend with an outdoor expo at the Virginian Lodge.
On Saturday, May 21, gather with local artists and organizations for an outdoor community event to kick-off JH Public Art’s annual WildWalls mural exhibit at The Virginian Lodge from 12-5pm. Giant carved woodblock prints—inspired by current environmental research—will be rolled out by a construction drum roller and then auctioned off at the event, all to benefit partner eco-organizations.
The event is free and open to the public, with tasty food available for purchase from the Sagebrush Grille food truck and drinks from The Virginian. A live DJ will serve up tunes while the Art Association hosts an art-making activity for all ages.
Participating artists Ben Roth, Ava Reynolds, Cara O’Connor, and Susan Grinels will be joined by visiting printmaking master artist Josh Winkler at this event and will also have original prints available for purchase. A silent auction will be held from 4-5pm, with proceeds going to Protect Our Water JH, Grand Teton National Park Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Trout Unlimited, and Friends of the Bridger-Teton, who provided current science to inspire the artists’ woodblock prints.
Special thanks to The Virginian Lodge, FC Excavation, and Canvas Unlimited for their support of this event!
