Bruni new hire of Fund for Public Education
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Fund for Public Education (FFPE) announced the hiring of a new executive director, Jason Bruni, to lead fundraising and programing initiatives supporting Teton County School District #1.
Bruni has been active in the community. Most recently he was the development officer with Teton Habitat. He oversaw grant writing, fundraising, campaign management, stewardship, as well as other development projects.
Bruni was drawn to the FFPE by its impressive breadth of work and scale of impact within TCSD #1.
“The impact the fund has on student experiences such as the TCSD food program, early education literacy, and mental health care, was and is inspiring in many ways,” Bruni said.
Bruni was a product of public education and has always held a deep respect for teachers, especially those in the public school system. He says he wants to combine his love of the local community and appreciation for teachers by working in partnership with TCSD #1.
Superintendent Gillian Chapman said, “The partnership between TCSD and the fund is vital to the future of our district, especially now as we seek funding and support for several important projects including the bleacher replacement at McIntosh Stadium, employee housing, and the Bronc Achievement Center in addition to all the amazing things the fund does for our schools on a day to day basis including securing funding for student meals, live performances and general support for classrooms and teachers.”
Annie Band, president of the FFPE, previously knew Bruni through his nonprofit work in the community. Band acknowledged the fund is hiring a “motivated, enthusiastic, and philanthropic individual who prioritizes the wellbeing of our local youth and educators.”
