Cops circulate photo of suspected car burglars
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — After a do-gooder citizen with a sharp eye photographed possible car burglars, cops have some evidence to go on and are asking the public for assistance.
On July 13, at 2:14pm, a Jackson Police officer was approached on the town square by a person who wished to report some suspicious activity. The reporting party told the officer that she and her husband were circling the parking lot of the Home Ranch Visitor Center when they watched what appeared to be two juvenile males attempting to open the doors of multiple parked cars.
The RP photographed the two individuals and later provided the photographs to the officer. Numerous officers spent time in the downtown area attempting to find the depicted males without success.
At 4:35pm, a local person contacted the Teton County Communications Center to report that her vehicle had been entered and items were taken from within her vehicle while she was at work. This incident occurred near the intersection of West Deloney and North Glenwood.
So far, the one incident has been the only one reported and cops are looking for two persons of interest depicted in a photograph released by JPD.
If you have seen these two or know the identity of these two, please contact Cpl. Kyle Foster at the Jackson Police Department at (307) 733-2331. You may also report any information anonymously to the Crimestoppers tip line at (307) 733-5148. If the information you provide leads to the identity, arrest, and conviction of suspects, you may be eligible for a reward.
The police department would like to thank the original reporting party for making them aware of the situation occurring in the Home Ranch Parking Lot. JPD is also reminding locals and visitors to never leave items of value inside of your vehicles and lock your vehicles when they are unattended.
