Cottonwood Creek Rd (Grey River) closed by flooding

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Bridger-Teton National Forest has closed Forest Road 10208 (Cottonwood Creek Rd.) in the Greys River due to flooding.

Cottonwood Creek Road heads into the Greys River area just south of Smoot. Where the road comes closest to the creek it’s named for is where significant water has run across the roadway. The road is no longer stable and is known to have collapsed in some areas. The road will be closed until the hazard is resolved.

Other areas of the forest received a significant amount of rain yesterday. Be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Portion of FR 10208 (in red) experienced significant damage as a result of flooding.
