County: No unnecessary travel
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Teton County Road and Levee advise the public of No Unnecessary Travel on county-maintained roads through Friday.
Road conditions throughout Teton County are deteriorating in condition and the weather is expected to worsen throughout the day, with the current Winter Storm Warning expiring at 11pm this evening. The less people on roads right now, the easier it will be for first responders to get where they need to be, and for snow plows to do their thing.
Please, travel only if absolutely necessary and when you do drive, use extreme caution.
A No Unnecessary Travel advisory means that the road is open but travel is not recommended due to hazardous driving conditions. Generally, this advisory is posted during winter months due to extremely icy conditions, when visibility is limited due to blowing snow, or when a combination of conditions makes travel ill-advised.
