Fire in Pinedale jumped on quickly
PINEDALE, Wyo. — Quick response on a late-night fire in Pinedale is credited with saving most of a large garage facility.
Sublette County Unified Fire (SCUF) was called to the blaze Tuesday, June 1, at approximately 10:30pm off East Magnolia in Pinedale.
By the time units got there—Stations 1, 2, 4 and 5 responding—the fire was well underway in a multi-bay garage building that is shared between the Rendezvous Point and the Sublette Center. On arrival, fire personnel observed upwards of 30-foot flames coming from the building.
The fire was quickly knocked down by the first arriving fire units’ coordinated response which contained the fire to three out of the seven bays of the garage and saving the contents of the remaining four bays.
The residents of nearby Aspen Grove were temporarily evacuated as a precaution while fire suppression activities were conducted. The Wyoming State fire marshal’s on call fire investigator was contacted to conduct the origin and cause investigation which is ongoing.
No injuries reported during this incident, according to Shad Cooper, Sublette County Unified Fire Chief.
