Fire Marshal asks for help on Blair Place fire
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — As an investigation into the fire that occurred at the Blair Place Apartments on Sunday, November 14 continues, Fire Marshall Kathy Clay is reaching out to the community to solicit further information from the community.
“An investigation into the cause of a fire is similar to putting a puzzle together. We are still missing a few pieces of the puzzle and hope that someone might have heard or seen something before the fire started,” Clay said.
When asked whether the unprecedented request for public assistance was due to suspicious circumstances or because preliminary investigation has hit a wall, Clay said no.
“Honestly, this is something we should have been doing a long time ago,” Clay said. “In this day and age, with phone cameras and people out and about, you just never know who might have seen or recorded something. We have already received a bunch of videos that might be helpful. This is just another tool in the toolbox.”
Clay is looking for any community members that may have seen or documented something in the vicinity of Building 245 in Blair Place Apartments at or before 10:30am Sunday, November 14.
Anyone with any information, photos, or videos of events that occurred in the area of Blair Place Apartments Building 245 around the start of the fire, please send it to blairfire@tetoncountywy.gov.
