JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Snow King Mountain is looking for a few good names. The local Town Hill ski resort is turning to the public for help in nomenclature for new runs and a new lift.
Win a season pass if your name is chosen. The new runs include two on the frontside of the mountain, backbowl runs in Leeks Canyon, beginner runs, magic carpets, and the backside lift itself.
“If you come up with something our team approves then we will reach out with a season pass. We may not use any or we may choose multiple winners. The first to post a winning name will get the award,” the resort stated on social channels.
There are already a few top contenders, so hurry. ‘Sunny Side’ has been mentioned for the lift on the back. ‘Shady Lady’ for the new steepest run on the mountain off the East Peak.
Other early contenders via Facebook comments are anything to commemorate Jim Sullivan (longtime manager of the hill) or Bill Briggs (banjo-picking legend and first to ski the Grand).
