Jackson Hole High School ranked tops in Wyoming

TCSD's Dr. Gillian Chapman named 2023 Superintendent of the Year

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — It’s all coming up roses for the school district as the public high school and superintendent are recognized as best in state.

Jackson Hole High School emerged as the top-ranked high school in the state according to the 2022 U.S. News & World Report’s rating of America’s best high schools.

U.S. News rated schools in several weighted categories including college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, college curriculum breadth, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.

JHHS received an overall score of 93.78. Jackson’s 96% graduation rate and 56.1 score in college readiness helped propel the school into the #1 ranking. Sheridan High School (92.32) was #2, Laramie High School (84.94) finished at #3.

A total of 64 public high schools in Wyoming were included in the rankings.

In addition, Teton County School District #1 superintendent Dr. Gillian Chapman was recognized by Wyoming Association of School Administrators (WASA) as the 2023 Superintendent of the Year.
