Moderna and J&J boosters now available locally
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — After authorization by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on October 21 booster doses for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and J&J COVID-19 vaccine are now available at the Teton County Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
The booster dose for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine was approved at half the dose of the primary series (the 1st and 2nd dose of the vaccine). As a reminder, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster was approved by the CDC on September 23. In addition to the approval of booster doses, eligible individuals can now choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose.
Individuals who are immunocompromised and received their 1st and 2nd dose of either the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine or the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are eligible to receive an additional dose (3rd full dose) of the same vaccine type based on the CDC recommendation made on August 13.

The Teton County Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccine clinic has the Pfizer, Moderna and J&J COVID-19 vaccines available Wednesday through Saturday. The clinic is located at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole at 1251 S. Park Loop Road.
