Moose cool Crusaders, 2x, to improve to 16-4

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Moose fought for a pair of hard-earned wins over the weekend against the Holy Cross Crusaders.

Jackson 6, Holy Cross 5

The Moose used a red-hot powerplay to down the visiting Crusaders Friday night. Jackson went 3 for 5 with the man advantage and held off a Crusader push in the 3rd period for a 6-5 win.

Jackson’s top line was the big producer. Jason Reese (1G, 4A), Drew Akins (2G, 2A), and AJ Sanders (1G, 2A) paced the Moose. Nick Krauss made 37 saves on 42 shots to post the win.

The Moose handled the Crusaders again on Saturday behind a pair of goals from Alex Dewitz, and single tallies from Akins, Reese, Ryan Glantz, and Davis Bruch. Krauss stopped all but 3 of the 40 shots he faced.

Next up

The Moose record is now 16-4. They enjoy a weekend off before hosting Cleveland on February 18-19.
