Out-of-bounds skier injured after fall at JHMR

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — A skier suffered a lower leg injury Monday, February 7, while skiing out-of-bounds at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

An unidentified skier was injured today descending Pucker Face, a steep backcountry zone just south of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort boundary. Jackson Hole Ski Patrol responded initially, assessed the patient, then alerted Teton County Search and Rescue that the skier would need a helicopter short-haul extraction.

As TCSAR flew to the scene, ski patrol packaged the patient and he was short-hauled to an ambulance at the base of Teton Village.
