Police pony up with ‘Ruck March’

JPD and Town of Jackson donate to Cupboard

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Following the annual Veterans Day ceremony on town square, members of the Jackson Hole Police Department participated in the town’s 2nd annual Ruck March.

Patrol Corporal Stephen O’Donnell, a former Marine and active duty Staff Sergeant in the National Guard, brought this annual tradition to Jackson. Marchers filled rucksacks with 35 pounds of food, marched 11.11 miles, and delivered over 260 pounds of food to the Jackson Cupboard.

In addition, the town donated 147 hard-to-get foods and supplies to the Cupboard. That’s one item for each of the town’s 147 employees.

Adding to all that the JPD dropped off, these donations helped stock shelves with cooking oil, detergent, diapers, and baby food before the holidays.
