Rest area death now called homicide

Police hunting for Morey Pelton's killer

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Authorities are now calling the suspicious death investigated yesterday at a rest stop in eastern Idaho a homicide case.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office identified the body found yesterday morning at the Lane Clark Rest Area on Highway 26, east of Ririe. They say Morey P. Pelton, 36, of Jefferson County was killed.

Deputies are asking anyone with information about this crime, or anyone who was in the area of the Lane Clark Rest Area between 8:00pm on May 12 and 6:30am May 13, to contact Deputies immediately by calling 208-529-1200.
