Rhythm of Life: Savion Glover comes to Jackson

World-class tap dancer, choreographer, actor, and teacher will host two movement and discussion workshops

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Savion Glover will be back in town to lead two workshops for the public at Dancers’ Workshop in Jackson Hole. The workshops will include a blend of movement and discussion time.

The multi-talented Newark, New Jersey native has amazed and inspired dancers around the world with his captivating performances. A world-class tap dancer, choreographer, actor, and teacher, Glover is truly a one-of-a-kind movement artist with a profound passion for dance.

Among his other credits and connections around the world, Glover holds Dancers’ Workshop in Jackson Hole near and dear to his heart. The dancer enjoys a lengthy record of collaborative projects with Jackson Hole’s premier dance nonprofit and is looking forward to returning for the first time since the pandemic struck. Later this month, Savion Glover will host two evenings of movement and discussion with Dancers’ Workshop.

“We are delighted to have Savion Glover back in Jackson Hole, sharing his passion and talent with our community and students at Dancers’ Workshop,” says Erin Roy, executive director of Dancers’ Workshop. “Our ongoing relationship with artists of Savion’s caliber not only gives our students the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most exceptional dancers, but also offers our wider community the chance to experience them in a local, intimate setting. There’s no question that it’s unique.”

The workshops will take place Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28.

In accordance with COVID safety protocols, the events will have limited seating, and attendees will be required to wear masks and those over 12 should provide proof of vaccination.

To reserve one of the 20 spaces, please RSVP to Dancers’ Workshop at (307) 733-6398. Tickets are a suggested $10 donation, and the event runs from 6:00-7:30pm in Studio 1 at the Center for the Arts (240 South Glenwood Ave.).
