School District looking for direction on spending ARP money
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Teton County School District #1 is eyeing nearly $4M in federal aid and officials are looking for public input on how to spend the relief package.
When the American Rescue Plan (ARP) act was signed into law bac in March 2021, money was dedicated to K-12 schools through the Elementary and Secondary School Education Relief (ESSER) III Fund.
As a result, TCSD #1 is eligible to receive $3.9 million in one-time federal funds.
The purpose of these funds is to help maintain safe and effective operations of our schools and address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on learning and students social-emotional wellbeing with at least 20% of the funds used to address learning loss, mental health, and student wellbeing.
Completing a short survey will help district officials in how they might best allocate funds.
