Some events still on, others cancelled as pandemic panic persists
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Growing concerns over COVID continues to have an effect on largescale events scheduled in the coming weeks.
At this point, KHOL is planning to go ahead with its Local Bands + Local Brews on the Center for the Arts lawn tonight. The event features music performances by Inland Isle and Abby Webster.
Representatives of the community radio station say they will enforce protocols in place for the outdoor event including:
- Masks are required when moving through the space or in line for food or beverages
- Masks will be on hand for attendees
- Guests are asked to stay with the party they arrive with and find a spot on the Center lawn six feet away from others
- KHOL staff, volunteers and vendors will wear masks throughout the whole event
Up the radio dial, at KMTN, station music director Mark Fishman announced today that the annual fundraiser Fish and Chips, scheduled for August 29, has been cancelled.
Tomorrow’s People’s Market is taking place as scheduled on the lawn of the Center for the Arts. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25, 4-7pm. However, prepared food and alcohol vendors have been asked not to participate this week.
COVID protocol includes:
- Limiting gathering size of groups,
- Maintain at least 6-feet of social distance
between people of different households. - Wear masks if you cannot maintain at least 6-feet of distance. (Masks will be made available).
- The Center for the Arts also asks that masks
be worn upon entry into the building.
