START begins fall season schedule

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Beginning Monday, October 4, START’s fall bus schedule will be in effect, and remain in place through Saturday, November 27.

The services offered during this fall schedule will continue to partially implement START’s Route Plan. The notable changes in fall service are highlighted below.

Teton Village Service: Local 

The Teton Village Service Local bus will run between Miller Park and Teton Village during the hours of 6:00am and 8:56pm with the last trip departing Teton Village at 8:14pm.

The Teton Village Local route will not service the stops listed below on the AM Inbound and PM Outbound. Please reference the START Bus Website for exact times.

  • AM Inbound- Mike Yokel Park, Redmond & Hansen, St. John’s Hospital, Pearl & Jean, and Pearl & Glenwood stops will not be serviced prior to noon (12:00pm).
  • PM Outbound- Antler Inn, Pearl & Jean, Broadway & Stormy Circle, Redmond & Hall, and Mike Yokel Park stops will not be serviced after noon (12:00pm).

Town Shuttle 

The Town Shuttle will begin at Miller Park starting at 6:00am and will run until 8:58pm with the last trip leaving Miller Park at 8:20pm.

Circulator 

The Circulator service will be operating one bus, departing 3 times each hour between 6:00am and 10:00pm with the last trip leaving Miller Park at 9:40pm. The Circulator route will service Pioneer Homestead on Rancher Street only at 11 minutes after the hour (6:11am, 7:11am, 8:11am, etc.). The other two trips per hour will allow drop off by request only. Riders needing the Pioneer Homestead location should request the bus operator divert to Rancher street for drop-off. Otherwise, the bus will continue on Redmond to complete the route.

 Commuter 

There will be no changes to the commuter services.

ADA 

ADA Service will operate between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm. Riders are asked to contact START Bus at (307) 413-4548 to schedule a ride 24 hours in advance.

 Federal Mask Mandate 

If you are planning on riding the START Bus this season, please remember that there is a federal mask requirement in place that was issued per President Joe Biden’s Executive Order 13998 and the Transportation Security Administration’s security directive requiring masks to be worn on all public transit systems nationwide to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. This means that face coverings must be worn on all START buses, at all bus stops and shelters, and at any location where START Bus tickets or passes are bought or sold.

START Bus encourages residents and visitors to safely support the reduction of traffic this summer by riding START Bus, walking or biking. Please remember when utilizing START bus, riders are asked to continue practicing social distancing when possible, using hand sanitizer when boarding and departing the bus, staying home when sick and wearing a mask.
