Students stay in masks at school
Special school board meeting keeps mask mandate for another 2 weeks
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Teton County School District board of trustees decided to keep masks on for at least another two weeks as omicron cases begin to move past peak in Teton County.
During a special meeting of the school board last night, trustees voted 5-1 (Bill Scarlett in dissent, Janine Bay Teske absent) to approve the continuation of the current mask mandate put into effect January 12. The mask requirement will remain in place until February 9 when it will be again discussed at a regular school board meeting.
The mask requirement includes staff, students, and visitors at all 10 TCSD #1 schools.
On the agenda for the February 9 meeting is also a review of the Smart Start and In-person Learning Plan, including decisions about the mask requirement and the Test to Stay program.
