Town looks to name Tyler Sinclair interim manager
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Town of Jackson will hire from within, at least temporarily, to replace outgoing town manager Larry Pardee.
Tyler Sinclair is expected to be named interim town manager—a vote of the council slated for its meeting tomorrow. Sinclair currently fills the role of community development director.
Pulling double duty shouldn’t be a problem for Sinclair, who once filled the town and county’s long-range planner position. It’s a role Sinclair filled so well the town simply created a new title for him with the community development director.
Sinclair will make $175,000 while acting as the interim town manager. The contract will be effective July 15, 2022. It could begin sooner should Pardee want to bolt right away. The contract will run through June 30, 2023.
Last, month, Pardee accepted a position as town manager of Eagle, Colorado. He requested to be let out of his contract prior to the 90-day notice stipulation.
How important is the town manager position? Well, the first thing he or should would have to do is unpack the job duties as stated by town staff:
“Engaging a town manager for a community like Jackson, Wyoming with multiple complex and serious health, safety and welfare issues in addition to equity and access issues assists with the timely, efficient and safe delivery of quality services and facilities in a fiscally responsible and coordinated manner.”
Huh?
