Snowmobile crash on Togwotee results in possible back injury
Search and Rescue sends helicopter
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — A snowmobiler crashed on Togwotee Pass late Sunday morning, sustaining injury after his machine landed on top of him.
Teton County Search and Rescue received the page out just before noon on Sunday, February 6.
The report stated a young male had crashed on his snowmobile with the sled landing on top of him. The report included the man may have a possible back injury with loss of feeling in his extremities.
A helicopter team was dispatched as the initial response with a snowmobile team as backup. The helicopter landed near the patient, where he was packaged and loaded into the ship for transfer to a waiting ambulance.
The response included 16 volunteers and an interagency assist from Grand Teton National Park.
The injured person was not immediately identified. His condition in unknown.
