JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The 2021-22 basketball season wrapped up over the weekend as the Jackson girls and boys traveled to Riverton for 4A West Regionals.
The Lady Broncs (2-18, 0-11) managed to put a bit of a scare into the top-ranked Cody Fillies—at least for a half—before succumbing in a 59-28 loss. Rachel Noyce and Audrey Fouras led the way with 8 points each but it was too much of Cody’s Kennedi Neimann (14 pts.), Reece Neimann (12 pts.), and Molly Hays (12 pts.) to overcome. Cody eventually went on to win the tournament.
The following Friday, the Jackson girls again struggled with their offense and committed too many turnovers to survive the consolation bracket for long. The Star Valley Lady Braves beat the Lady Broncs for the third time this season to continue their domination over Jackson. The Lady Broncs have not beaten Star Valley since 2009—a string of 30 straight losses.
Audrey Fouras, back from a long injury layoff, led Jackson with 7 points. Jacie Chatham, Caroline Fouras, and Anna Revill added 3 apiece. Rachel Noyce and Katie Yarrow both scored 2. Casey Carr pulled down 5 rebounds.
