Rockfall on lower saddle calls for caution on Grand approach
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The National Park Service is sharing a heads up to climbers interested in scaling the Grand.
On July 3rd, a significant hazardous rockfall occurred at the fixed line on the approach to the Lower Saddle of the Grand Teton. Melting snow may continue to pose a hazard in this area.
Authorities in Grand Teton National Park are reminding climbers to keep a close eye on conditions and move through this zone as quickly as possible.
