Accident in canyon Wednesday results in life-flight, snarled traffic
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — An accident in Snake River Canyon yesterday brought commuter traffic to a standstill for nearly four hours.
Little details are yet available. Jackson Hole Press has reached out to Wyoming Highway Patrol. The accident occurred just before 5pm at milepost 124 on U.S. 26/89 between Hoback Junction and Alpine.
Witnesses say at least one person was life-flighted from the scene.
The highway opened again at approximately 8:45pm.
