Broncs new football coach is David White

'Coach Whitey' comes with an impressive resume

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Jackson Broncs have their new head coach. David White, 52, was announced today by the Teton County School District as the man to take over the high school football team program beginning immediately.

Hailing from Seattle, White is a former All-Conference tight end at UNLV (1992-1995).

After college, he became the head coach at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada for four years (2003-2006), where he won three consecutive league championships (2003-2006) and qualified for the play offs all four years.

White then joined Bob Stoops staff at the University of Oklahoma and coached under him for another four years (2007-2010). During that time, he won back-to-back Big XII Conference Bowl Games.

Coach White then took on the running backs coach job at the University of Nevada from 2017-2019.

His latest stint was as head coach at Blue Springs High School in Kansas City, Missouri.

White is said to be a strong recruiter and a powerful motivational speaker

White has a son, Breckston, with his fiancé Brooke, as well as guardians to JD Kolb, who they have raised since the eighth grade.

Coach White replaces David Joyce, who has headed up the program since 2017 and led the Broncs to back-to-back state title appearances. Joyce announced earlier this month he was taking the job at Teton High.

“We are excited to bring on Coach White and look forward to seeing the Bronc Football program continue to grow and develop into one of the best programs in Wyoming.
