Citizenship info session is tonight
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Citizenship Series is a two-day program that will share information about the process and advantages of becoming a naturalized citizen, and includes free legal assistance with completing naturalization paperwork.
Immigration attorney Rosie Read, and Vice Mayor Arne Jorgensen will speak to the process and benefits of naturalization tonight at the Teton County Library Auditorium, from 5:00–6:30pm.
“Citizenship is the most stable, secure immigration status available in the United States, and it enables meaningful civic engagement, including voting at all levels. Naturalization is hugely beneficial for both the individual and the community at large,” Read says.
The Citizenship Series will continue on June 11 from 2-5pm at the Teton County Library Auditorium where volunteer attorneys will provide no-cost assistance with completing naturalization application packets.
The Jackson Hole Citizenship Series is a collaborative effort by the ACLU of Wyoming, Immigrant Hope, Teton Democrats, Teton County Republicans, and Voices JH. The Citizenship Series is part of Voices’ and Immigrant Hope’s celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month.
Voices JH is proud to be a fiscally sponsored program of Legacy Philanthropy Works.
