Cold Wet Days arrives right on time

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Maybe the Chamber of Commerce had it right the first time around when they intended to cancel the Old West Days Parade.

This morning’s soaker was a race to the finish. Wrapping in less than a half-hour, soggy participants made their way to the town square with little fanfare or fans. Attendance was sparse as rain hammered the valley all night and into the day today.

All holiday weekend events are on but it remains to be seen whether Jackson Hole is ready to kick off the summer season this weekend, or wait until it stops sleeting.
