COVID cancels Winter People’s Market Saturday
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Slow Food in the Tetons announced a change to the Winter People’s Market schedule. The market scheduled for tomorrow, Jan 8, will now be held on Saturday, Jan 22, 1-4pm in the lobby at Center for the Arts. Additional winter season dates will remain the same, with markets on Sunday, Feb 13 and Sunday, March 6.
The reschedule is due to a high number of cancellations for this weekend’s event.
“Our vendor numbers have significantly dropped due to COVID cases, and we are missing some volunteers as well,” explained Scott Steen, executive Director of Slow Food in the Tetons. “We hope the community will join us instead in two weeks’ time to shop the selection of fresh and delicious food and support local farmers and ranchers.”
The People’s Market is a year-round farmers’ market for local growers and producers; an incubator for locally-made, sustainable crafts; and a gathering space for the community to celebrate local and regional, good, clean and fair food. Winter season market offerings include produce, meat, cheese, bread, jam, soups, salsa, prepared foods, beverages, and music.
