Dog is My CoPilot flies cats too
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Dog is My CoPilot is not just about dogs. The Jackson-based rescue charity that helps fly pets to their ‘furever’ home just made a feline flight.
Pilot Maresca and his wife Margo departed Driggs, Idaho last week with a load of cats from PAWS of Teton Valley. The shelter is experiencing declining cat adoptions in recent months so to the rescue came Dog is My CoPilot to fly 28 amazing cats into homes sooner than they would likely have been adopted out in Teton Valley.
The mission landed in Spokane, Washington at a lovely facility called SpokAnimal C.A.R.E.. These Wyoming kitty cats are already available for adoption there.
Cat herders Jess and Lilly from the shelter were up early preparing and loading the cats. Big thanks to all volunteers involved in making this ‘purrfect’ connection.
