Fire Station 1 set for public unveiling
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is ready to unveil its new Station 1 Firehouse to the public on Wednesday, June 29 from 4-7pm during an open house.
What began several years ago as a simple upgrade to the Station 1 Firehouse in downtown Jackson eventually ended up being a complete rebuild. Now, finally finished last month, fire crews are eager to show off to the public just how state-of-the-art the new facility is.
JH Fire/EMS crews will be giving tours of the new station, which includes the latest in technology, living and training quarters, a real-life fireman’s pole, fire engines, and ambulances (including a Jackson fire truck from 1940). Oh, and talk about burying the lede—did we mention free ice cream?
Stop by any time between 4-7pm to check out the scene at 60 E. Pearl Avenue in downtown Jackson.
