Foster Friess memorial set for Sunday
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — A memorial service for Foster Friess has been planned for Sunday, June 6.
A funeral will take place at 2pm at the Presbyterian Church on 1251 S Park Loop Rd. Motorcoach transportation will then be provided for guests wishing to join a celebration of life at Diamond Cross Ranch in Moran. That event will begin at 5pm.
Friess passed away on May 27 after a long illness. He was remembered by his daughter-in-law Polly in a letter to faculty and friends of Jackson Hole Classical Academy where she is headmaster.
“Foster was a born leader. He was class president, captain of his high school sports teams, valedictorian, Chi Phi fraternity president at the University of Wisconsin, and served in the U.S. Army as an infantry platoon leader. He was a hard-working American determined to keep our country on the right path.
“Foster waded in deep, kept going despite whatever circumstances he faced, and made this world a better place.”
— Polly Friess
In addition to the funeral in Jackson, there will be a remembrance service with Foster’s family in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, June 5 at 10am at the Valley View Bible Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made via the National Christian Foundation to Foster’s Outriders Foundation, which supports efforts like Rachel’s Challenge, ACE Scholarships, Adult and Teen Challenge, Kickstart Kids, Water Mission, and many of Foster’s favorite charities.
