Injured snowmobile airlifted to safety
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — A snowmobiler suffered an injury yesterday on Togwotee Pass requiring an airlift to safety.
At just past noon on Wednesday, April 13, Teton County Search and Rescue received a pageout for an adult male that had suffered a broken arm while snowmobiling near Two Ocean Mountain on Togwotee Pass. Given the accident’s remote location, the team decided to respond with heli and snowmobile teams.
The helicopter was able to land near the patient, load him into the ship, and fly him to an LZ near Togwotee Lodge. From there, friends transported the patient to further medical care. Door to door, TCSAR volunteers completed the mission in just under three hours.
