Jackson Hole grad among 4 UW Nordic Ski Team members named Academic All-Americans

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Four University of Wyoming Nordic ski team members were among 361 student-athletes nationwide recently selected to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association.

Jamison Peacock of Jackson Hole was selected along with Sean Kraemer (Evergreen, Colo), Kaj Taylor (Palmer, Alaska), and Trevor Willoughby (Casper, Wyo.). To be eligible, skiers must have a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, matching the highest GPA requirement of any coaches association academic team, nationally.

This is the second straight season that more than 300 student-athletes were named to the nationally ranked academic team. The team is composed of all NCAA and associate members of the three ski regions: the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association in the western region; the Central Collegiate Ski Association in the central region; and the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association in the eastern region.

Both Peacock and Taylor were members of the UW team that placed 2nd at the recent U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association’s Collegiate National Championships in Lake Placid, New York.
