King Concerts to rock mountaintop

Duane Betts & His Friends to headline inaugural concert series event

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. —  An all-new concert series was announced this morning featuring live music at the top of Snow King Mountain.

King Concerts will kick off in style this July 16 with an inaugural concert featuring “Duane Betts & His Friends” with a star-studded lineup of national touring musicians to warm the new summit series atop Snow King Mountain in downtown Jackson.

The creation of the concert series is the collaborative effort of Snow King Mountain, Snow King Resort, and the Snow King Resort Master Association.

The concert series rises from the ashes, in a way, from the mothballed JacksonHoleLive!, which went dark during COVID. The same talent buyer, Shannon McCormick, is helping put together the lineup for King Concerts, along with his wife Michelle Bevier McCormick, who handles most of the marketing branding.

“This group is great to work with. Some smart people who have a vision,” McCormick said. “We originally were going to put this at the base of Snow King like JacksonHoleLive! but then Ryan [Stanley] said, ‘Let’s do it up top.’ I questioned the logistics at first but they answered every question. This is going to be special.”

It is planned for the concert series to grown and also move indoors upon completion of the Summit House and Planetarium and Observatory.

Title sponsors of the event are Jackson-based brands Stio and Roadhouse Brewing. The Bank of Jackson Hole along with local businesses the Bird, Eleanor’s, and Remede have stepped up to help bring this event to life at the summit of the King.

The event will be held in a natural setting on the summit of Snow King. Tickets will be available online at KingConcerts.com at noon MST on Wednesday, June 8. Ticket holders will gain access to the concert venue, food and beverage concessions, and unlimited use of the gondola. There are a very limited number of tickets available for this unique show and they are expected to go quickly.
