JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — A crashed motorcycle up Mosquito Creek had Teton County Search and Rescue scrambling again Tuesday afternoon.
The call came at about 5:30pm yesterday. TCSAR received a report of a man who had crashed on his dirtbike about four miles up the Mosquito Creek drainage. The man had reportedly suffered lower leg injuries and was unable to walk or ride out of the backcountry.
TCSAR volunteers responded in the RZR and were able to access the patient directly. They assessed the patient’s multiple injuries and packaged him for transport in the RZR. They then drove the patient out of the backcountry and transferred him to a waiting ambulance.
Door to door, the mission took 2 hours and 31 minutes.
