Mysterious death under investigation
Owner of Creekside Market & Deli found dead behind his shop
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Jackson Hole Press confirmed the death of a beloved business owner whose body was found early yesterday morning.
Nick Bochicchio, 42, was declared dead at the scene Monday morning around 6:30am. He was discovered by coworkers lying in the grass behind Creekside Market & Deli, the business he owned and operated since 2006.
Jackson Police Lt. Russ Ruschill said police cordoned off the area Monday morning as they would any potential crime scene. Nothing at the scene indicated foul play and a deputy coroner took the body for examination as to cause and manner of death.
At this time, while the death is certainly mysterious, authorities are not considering it suspicious.
Several community members contacted Jackson Hole Press trying to learn more. All shared their condolences and many commented on what a pleasant and friendly guy Bochicchio was—always with a smile of recognition and a kind word even when the busy sandwich shop was slammed.
Police say an investigation remains open pending results from the coroner’s office.
