Rec Center reduces hours due to lack of employees
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — For businesses and organizations, finding employees has become almost impossible. It’s an issue across the country and certainly in Wyoming, where Governor Mark Gordon recently did away with a federal stimulus tack-on to unemployment payouts.
In Jackson, hiring is practically an extreme sport. Not immune, Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center this week announced it will have to reduce operational hours effective June 1 due to staffing constraints.
Starting in June, Rec Center hours will be Monday through Friday 6am – 6pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm. The Rec Center will be closed on Sundays.
Parks and Rec apologizes for the inconvenience and expressed its appreciation of the community’s patience as they continue to recruit staff. It is hoped the Rec Center can return to normal service levels once additional staff is hired and trained.
