Recycling Center accepting textiles

Your used clothing will help out Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) announced it is still accepting textiles for recycling. ISWR says its textile recycling partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, is struggling to get clothing donations at this time.

Public-facing textile bins can be found at the Recycling Center near the office door and are available 24/7. Individuals or businesses with large volumes of textiles for recycling should call ahead at 733-7678.

Please consider donating wearable, quality clothing locally first. Follow these guidelines to ensure the longevity and success of the textile recycling program:

DO’s
  • Textiles should be clean, dry, and odorless.
  • Linens, curtains, and blankets are accepted.
  • Reusable purses, bags, belts, and shoes are accepted.
  • The occasional missing zipper or button is fine.
  • Please drop textiles in bags to assist with moisture control.
DON’TS
  • No longer accepting raw/ragged materials.
  • Stained clothing should be kept to a minimum.
  • Bed pillows are not accepted.
  • No carpets, grease rags, or solvent-soiled items are accepted.
