Register for Womenturing program now through and of May

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. – It’s May so that means Womentum is opening registration for its unique community-building mentoring program that develops women’s skills, confidence and local network through an integrated and empowering 9-month calendar of workshops, dinners, and events.

The Womentoring program runs September through May, with the expectation that participants commit to attending all events in the calendar. Applications for both mentors and mentees are accepted May 1-31 every year.

The program offers one cohort activity, dinner, or workshop each month as well as support for one-on-one mentoring experiences. Time commitment is anticipated at 3-5 hours per month, although many pairs choose to meet more often. Thanks to private donations, the fee to participate as a mentor or mentee in Womentoring is $150 per person. (True cost is $450).

More on Womenturing

Started in 2006, Womentoring is intended to foster women’s personal, professional, and civic leadership. Womentoring enables women to live meaningful lives by committing time and energy to their own growth as well as that of others. Womentum believes that when women define their own goals and are inspired through a mentoring relationship, they become empowered leaders within their community.

The first 9-month Womentoring program launched in September 2007 with eight mentor-mentee pairs. The program now supports double that each year. Mentoring pairs attend small group dinners, workshops, and events during the program, starting with a kickoff in September and concluding with a Harvest Celebration in May.

With a growing network of over 400 Womentoring alumnae, Womentum has established a bonded community of supportive, informed, and empowered women and leaders. Womentoring graduates are currently serving in elected office, running local nonprofits, starting businesses, and pursuing creative endeavors, not only for personal enrichment and fulfillment, but for the advancement and benefit of the community, the local economy, local families and culture.
