Search for missing Jackson man focuses on Black Canyon
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Teton County Sheriff’s Office and Teton County Search & Rescue will launch a search today for a missing person last seen in the Black Canyon area.
Part-time Jackson resident Robert Stiles Lowery, 46, has been missing since August 19 when he was observed at a restaurant in Teton Village. New evidence puts Lowery one mile up Black Canyon trail where he was believed to be spotted at 2:45pm on August 20. Lowery was reportedly carrying a large Nike duffel bag with a blue sleeping bag and grey tent.
TCSAR will conduct a search of the area today at the base of Teton Pass, outside of Wilson.
Lowery is a white male with brown hair, blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a Pirates baseball cap with a large “P” on the front. Anyone with information related to this matter is encouraged to contact the TCSO Dispatch Center at (307) 733-2331.
