Searchers looking for Gabby Petito find body in Spread Creek
Boyfriend Brian Laundrie still at-large, considered a 'person of interest'
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Authorities in Wyoming have found a body in Spread Creek on day two of a massive search. Jackson Hole Press is yet unable to confirm the identity.
Teton County Coroner Brent Blue confirmed his office has been dispatched to retrieve remains found by searchers in Spread Creek thought to be that of Gabrielle Petito, 22, of Blue Point, Long Island. She has been the subject of nationwide interest after going missing during a cross-country camping trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie.
New evidence pointed to Spread Creek as a possible place Petito was seen last, camping with Laundrie. Laundrie was spotted later alone and without the couple’s van. A massive search was launched Saturday and continued today when a body was discovered.
