Teton Pass to close Friday for testing
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Teton Pass will be closing Friday, December 3, beginning at noon.
Teton Backcountry Alliance today announced the scheduled closure as final testing and finetuning of recently upgraded avalanche mitigation systems will get underway.
“This closure may last as long as two hours” the organization stated. “No parking at the summit of Teton Pass and Coal Creek beginning at 8pm tonight will be strictly enforced.”
The closure will include all westbound and eastbound traffic on WYO 22 over Teton Pass. Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly.
