Town finalizes, approves FY22 budget
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Town Council last week signed off the Fiscal Year 2022 budget, which goes into effect tomorrow.
Highlights from the budget include $33 million dedicated to core town services including roads, sidewalks, public facilities water, and sewer.
In addition, the town also funded partner agencies that provide health and human services to ensure those in the community— especially the youngest and oldest citizens—can find care when they need it most.
$21 million was also earmarked for capital projects for major maintenance and new capital (i.e. sewer replacement, road repair, and sidewalk construction), and another $1.3 million to health and human service providers.
Town leaders also recommitted to investing in the future health, safety, and welfare of the community by addressing affordable housing, the environment, multimodal transportation, and more. This year’s budget includes $13 million in joint funding with Teton County for housing, along with additional positions focusing on implementation of the town’s Ecosystem Stewardship and Integrated Transportation Plan goals.
